LOCAL IMAGE · LOCAL JPEG

Use only photos you have permission to edit. Obtain guardian permission for children. Keep enough room around the face and shoulders.

JPEG, PNG, WebP or HEIC still photo · up to 12 MB / 24 megapixels. Photos are not uploaded.

HEIC opens locally using its primary still image. Motion and image sequences are not imported; colors can differ. Clear image stops decoding. Unsupported files or browsers still need on-device JPEG conversion. HEIC decoder software and licenses.

The sample uses existing AI-created website artwork. Clear any selected image first; sample exports keep their AI label.

Choose an image or try the labeled sample.

Optional: prepare a JPEG, keep it here, then frame the next person. Up to ten crops / 24 MiB of prepared JPEGs, not an app photo limit. These stay in tab memory. Changing or clearing the source, or leaving this page, clears the tray. Save each JPEG yourself; nothing transfers to the checker or app.

Watch a sample crop 53 seconds · no sound

One person, four edges.

A Chrome recording using labeled AI-created website artwork, not a real family photo. Stationary gaps are shortened and key steps held for reading. A separately settled final capture shows the cleared state. The small crop warning stays visible: this demonstrates the controls, not a high-detail source. This recording uses percentage fields; the Draw a crop option was added later.

Only manual framing, preview and JPEG preparation are shown. No completed download is shown. Cropping cannot add missing detail. Your own photos stay in this tab; nothing transfers automatically to the checker or app.

Follow the same steps

  1. Load a photo or try the AI sample. Use your own photos only with permission from everyone pictured, including guardian permission for children. The sample is an illustration; its exports keep an AI-created label.
  2. Adjust Left, Top, Right and Bottom. Frame one face and its shoulders. Check the preview and any small-crop warning. A crop cannot restore detail; prefer a fresh, clear selfie when possible.
  3. Prepare JPEG, then choose Save JPEG yourself. Prepare creates a file in this tab. Save is the separate download step, not demonstrated in this recording. Adjust the edges and repeat for another person.
  4. Clear the image when finished. This removes this tab's source and prepared crop, not any files already saved on your device. Select a saved portrait again in the checker or app yourself.

Manual cropping is free. New AI image generation in the app uses paid tokens. Premium is optional and auto-renewing; check current app purchase options, prices and terms before buying.

AFTER YOU SAVE

A crop is a starting point.

Check that one face is clear, unobstructed and large enough. Cropping does not restore missing detail or guarantee a useful AI source.

Premium is optional and auto-renewing. Check current purchase options, prices and renewal terms in the app before buying. Select your portraits again in the app; nothing transfers from this page.

Before you crop

How do I make individual photos from one family photo?

Choose your group photo, then adjust Left, Top, Right and Bottom around one person. Prepare JPEG, then Save JPEG. Change the edges and repeat for the next person. Your original stays unchanged. This is manual cropping, not automatic face detection.

Do my photos leave this device?

No photo uploads to TogetherLens or an AI provider. Your selected image and crop remain in this tab; Save JPEG downloads a new file to your device. Nothing is stored in your browser for a later visit. Clear image or close the tab when done. Try AI sample downloads only existing public website artwork, not your photos.

Will cropping make a small face sharper?

No. Cropping cannot recover detail, remove blur or upscale a face. A crop with a short edge below 512 pixels gets a warning. Use a fresh, clear head-and-shoulders selfie when possible; even a larger crop does not guarantee a suitable source or an accurate AI result.

Which files and sizes can I use?

Choose JPEG, PNG, WebP or a HEIC still photo up to 12 MB and 24 megapixels. HEIC decoding uses the primary still image on your device, not Live Photo motion or an image sequence. Colors can differ after conversion. If your HEIC variant or browser is unsupported, convert it to JPEG on your device first. JPEG output keeps the crop's source dimensions unless its longest edge exceeds 2048 pixels, in which case it is reduced. It is never enlarged. Transparent areas become white.

Is this free, and does it import into the app?

Manual cropping and JPEG export are free. No files transfer into the checker or TogetherLens app automatically: select a saved crop again yourself. Creating a new AI scene in the app uses paid tokens. Premium is optional and auto-renewing; check current purchase options, prices and renewal terms in the app before buying.
